The Cabbage Soup Diet Plan
The classic 7 day cabbage soup diet plan is very simple and requires no speciality shopping (unless you do not accustomed to buying veggies!).
It is avery strict diet though. The idea is to eat as much cabbage soup as you like every day - enough to keep you full up, so you don't cheat! Plus specific additional foods on each day of the seven day diet. No alcohol is allowed and other drinks are limited to water, and unsweetened fruit juice on days when fruit is allowed.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day One Eat all of the fruit you want (but no bananas). Eat only your soup and the fruit for the first day. For drinks - unsweetened tea (brown or green) and water.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day Two Stuff yourself with vegetables (but avoid peas, beans and sweet corn), raw or cooked - your choice. Leafy green veggies are best. Eat all the vegetables you want along with your soup. At dinner, you may reward yourself with a big baked potato with a little butter. Today no fruits are allowed.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day Three Mix Days One and Two of the 7 Day cabbage soup diet: Eat all the soup, fruit and vegetables you want, except the potato. Don't forget to drink at least eight big glasses of water during the day.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day Four: This day is very important as it lessens your desire for sweets. The main food on day four is Bananas and Skim Milk. You may eat as many as eight bananas and drink as many glasses of skim milk as you like on this day, along with your soup. Also drink at least eight big glasses of water during the day.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day Five: Today you should eat ten to twenty ounces of beef and up to six fresh tomatoes. Eat your soup at least twice on this day but the more the better. You may eat grilled (broiled) or baked chicken or fish instead of beef (but absolutely no skin-on the chicken and it must not be fried). Also drink at least eight big glasses of water during the day. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day Six: Eat as much meat or fish and Vegetables as you want with leafy green vegetables, but no potato. Eat your soup at least twice. Drink at least eight big glasses of water. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day Seven: Day seven of the 7 day diet plan is based on brown rice, unsweetened fruit juices and vegetables. Again eat it to your heart's content. Be sure to eat your soup at least once this day. Drink at least eight big glasses of water.
